Xiangguang (Andy) Zhang

Master Xiangguang (Andy) Zhang is an action actor, action choreographer, martial artist, and senior coach. Master Zhang started training in Chinese Martial Arts when he was five. He went to the Shaolin Kung Fu School of Shan Dong, Shaolin Temple in Henan, and graduated from the Shaolin Kung Fu School of Bei Jing. He focused on applying, teaching, and performing traditional and modern martial arts. On top of that, he also specialized in San Da, known as Chinese Kickboxing.

Over the years, Master Zhang has participated in numerous professional worldwide stage performances. "Shaolin's Legend," "Shaolin vs. Wu Dang," "China's Wu Hun," "Heartbeat Hawaii," "Yu Shang Hai," and "Monkey King" are a few of the many performances that Master Zhang participated in as a martial arts actor and action choreographer/director.

Master Zhang used to teach at the Institute of Chinese Martial Arts, Inc., Shenwu Shaolin LLC, and Lai Zhou Zhong Hua Wushu School (Beijing Branch).

In 2020, during the pandemic, Master Zhang established Armafit Academy, part of ARMAFIT, INC., to introduce the art of martial arts and share his experiences with his students.

Shifu Zhang returned to school to earn his bachelor's and master's degrees after many years of working. He graduated from UC Irvine in 2020 with a degree in Business Administration, followed by a Master of Professional Accountancy in 2024. Zot zot zot!

Now he is pursuing an MBA at UCLA Anderson—Go Bruins!—he remains committed to teaching kung fu and sharing his expertise with fellow enthusiasts, as kung fu has always been his true passion.
